Compress & resize images
Batch compress JPG/PNG/WebP, resize to exact pixels, and crop for social presets — all in your browser. Files never upload.
Drop images here
.jpg / .png / .webp · multiple OK
or drag & drop · paste Ctrl/⌘V
Private: Compression stays in your browser — files never upload.
How to verify no upload
- Open DevTools (F12 or ⌥⌘I) → Network tab.
- Drop images and wait until outputs are ready.
- Confirm there is no image POST/upload — only the page and scripts load.
“Try sample” may fetch a public demo from this site — that is not your file upload.
Honest limit: huge megapixel images can use a lot of RAM. Prefer batches of reasonable size; processing never leaves this tab.
Ready — drop JPG, PNG, or WebP.
Privacy receipt (this run)
Stayed in this browser tab — no image upload.
How to compress or resize images
- Drop one or more JPG, PNG, or WebP files onto the film frame (or click Choose).
- Pick Compress, Resize, or Social crop. Processing runs in your browser — files are not uploaded.

Who it’s for
Anyone who needs images under a size limit for forms, email, or social — and prefers a private tool with no account over a cloud upload.

FAQ
Do my files leave my device?
No. Compression, resize, and crop run in your browser. We only serve the page — your images are never uploaded for processing.
What formats are supported?
JPG/JPEG, PNG, and WebP as inputs. Output JPG, PNG, or WebP. HEIC is handled by HeicLocal; WebP↔PNG by WebpKit (linked in the footer).
Is there a file limit?
No cloud quota. Very large images may hit browser memory limits — try fewer files or smaller dimensions if the tab struggles.
Is SquashImg free?
Yes. Free forever — no account, no paid plans, no ads.
